The challenge of proposal graphics includes designing compelling graphics that fit restricted page counts while complying with a given Request for Proposal font formatting requirements. Whenever possible I try to escape the norm of flow charts and “chevron” process graphics to revamp commonly used proposal graphics. Another challenge is to keep brand consistency across proposals so graphics can be reused by our teams in similar proposals or used as templates for new graphics. By applying a consistent design across different proposals we also ensure brand recognition. In some instances adding a common theme to a set of graphics in a proposal section helps bring the concepts together as a unified proposal/approach.That can be achieved with the use of repeating thumbnails or icons across a set of graphics as seen below.
